The primary goal of the club is to provide a home for serious minded players to learn, understand, and play the game at the highest level possible.  SMSC is determined to be inclusive in its search for players, coaches, and trainers that are looking for the good of all players in the area.  SMSC also understands the special circumstances facing players all over southeast Missouri and southern Illinois and the importance of pooling our resources to compete with the large clubs in the Midwest.

This area produces high quality athletes and area teams are competitive within the region in their formative years.  SMSC realizes that not everything can be overcome by athleticism, and a greater knowledge of the game is required to compete with professionally trained players.  Success on the field at older age groups in a result of a greater knowledge, understanding, and organization which comes with superior training.  Team and personal successes are a result of superior training with the emphasis of fundamentals.  Skill acquisition is not a short-term venture and players committed to their own development will flourish.  We are fortunate to be able to provide this type of training to the area communities. 

To attain the highest level of personal and team performance requires dedication, discipline, and commitment from all parties; players, parents, coaches, and trainers.  The training is designed to produce a complete soccer player, which includes a high moral standard and a sense of fair play.  The club’s focus is on correct and qualified instruction for both players and coaches.
